In November 2023 Acufade organized in Tenerife the 1st International Care Congress. More than 2.500 attendees participated at the event that addressed recent challenges faced by family caregivers and presented good practices, interesting projects and emotional stories from Canary Islands, Spain, Europe and Latin America. 

Elena Felipe, the Director of ACUFADE stated, «We are proud of the immense reception and local as well as international impact of this Congress.» She concluded, «The International Care Congress is here to stay, and we are already planning the second edition after this undeniable success.» The second edition is scheduled for November 2024 and will be held in Gran Canaria.
