ACUFADE is a regional NGO from Tenerife – Canary Islands (Spain) – with long year experience in the areas of senior-care and active ageing. Our mission, goal and belief is to promote the well-being of the elderly and/or dependent people (especially those who live with Alzheimer’s or other dementias), as well as that of their caregivers and families.
After 16 years of experience, we are proud to be recognized, not only as a provider of services, but also as a promoter of various social and community initiatives of a solidarity nature. We began our story as a small family that has grown into a multidisciplinary team of more than 120 hard-working and passionate people and 30 volunteers.. Our staff includes experts from different fields of the care sector, social workers, physiotherapists, psychologists, and other experts such as project managers, financial managers, communication managers, legal experts, event organizers…
Acufade is an active member of EUROCARERS (EU network for informal caregivers) and World Patient Alliance (global network of organizations working with patients) through which we can ensure wide dissemination of results and continuous learning.

Promotion of personal autonomy
